Terms of Use

Welcome to BodyBud. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BodyBud web application, including the workout logging, muscle load, exercise, nutrition, and weight tracking features (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. BodyBud authenticates users through Google Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP) using your Google account; you do not create a separate BodyBud username or password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use to sign in and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you become aware of unauthorized access to your account, contact us promptly using the details in Section 11.
2. Your Data, Isolated to You
Each BodyBud account is backed by its own private, per-user data store. Workouts, exercises, muscle group configurations, nutrition entries, and weight entries you log are associated with your identity only and are not visible to other users. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how it is stored and used.
3. Not Medical, Health, or Nutrition Advice
BodyBud is a self-tracking and logging tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing in the Service — including workout suggestions implied by your own logged history, muscle load visualizations, nutrition target comparisons, or weight trend charts — constitutes medical, fitness, or nutritional advice. Always consult a qualified physician, registered dietitian, or certified trainer before beginning a new exercise program, making significant changes to your diet, or if you have a pre-existing health condition. You are solely responsible for decisions you make about your training, nutrition, and health, including any targets or goals you configure within the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's data, account, or the systems underlying the Service;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service's infrastructure (for example, through automated scraping or denial-of-service activity);
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except where permitted by law;
- Upload content to the Service that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to submit.
5. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of the workout, exercise, nutrition, and weight data you enter into BodyBud ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display it back to you solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for your own account. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train third-party models or share it for advertising purposes.
6. Availability and Changes to the Service
BodyBud is provided on an ongoing-development basis. We may add, modify, or remove features, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or due to factors outside our control. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid data loss but recommend not relying on BodyBud as your sole record of critical health information.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service generally. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before discontinuing the Service entirely. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CALCULATIONS, AVERAGES, OR VISUALIZATIONS (INCLUDING MUSCLE LOAD, PROGRESS CHARTS, NUTRITION TOTALS, OR WEIGHT TRENDS) WILL BE FREE OF ERROR.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BODYBUD AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY HEALTH, FITNESS, OR NUTRITION OUTCOMES RESULTING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON INFORMATION DISPLAYED WITHIN THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT, IF ANY, YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or for legal or operational reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide more prominent notice.
